Woo, woo, SWAG!!! Ahhh, Lil’ B. The Basedgod – the man, the legend. Well, I’ll be posting a short review on this artist now. The issue, though, is that there’s nothing I can say about him that his music hasn’t already voiced. To begin, I can mention how he accurately portrays the limits to peoples’ animosities. Ever since he began creating his articulate Based Music, people have been showing their teeth and openly expressing their hate towards him. This is only a portion of his plan, however. He realized that even negative publicity is still publicity; even through all of the hatred, he maintained such a positive stature and was able to capture the attentions of the most seemingly unaware audiences. What a brilliant marketing technique!
People were inevitably drawn to his diversity. Never before has the world seen someone who projected their thoughts and ideas via words with such vivid imagery and charisma. It took the world by storm! This is what’s so mind-blowing about it! The originally flows like a confident river! My respect is served in multitudinous amounts…
For those who understand Lil’ B, they know that he stands for positivity and wants to make changes in the world for the better. I remember listening to “I’m Heem” in class a few weeks ago. An acquaintance of mine was surprised that I was listening to him and said that he also enjoyed his music, but never heard to song. In a nutshell, I explained to him that it was one of my favorite songs from him because it talked about who he is at the time he recorded it in contrast to a wicked past. That said acquaintance then told me that I was overanalyzing the song after he listened to it. This then lead me to realize how overlooked The Basedgod really is. Is all of his material misunderstood?
In the beginning when I first listened to him, I was thinking, “maaan, what is this guy on?!” This was probably the first opinion of most people. My naive judgment was short-lived, nevertheless. I soon understood the potency of the music and grasped the overall plan – a plan that cannot be explained, only felt when linked to the music. Thus, in conclusion… umm… Lil’ B f***ed my b****…

Love and Peace.
